Body found in Ste Madeleine

Police are seeking public assistance in identifying the body of a woman found floating in the Usine Ste Madeleine pond.

The corpse was discovered by an employee of Construtara OAS Limited yesterday morning.

investigators say there were no visible marks of violence on the body.

Police say the woman is of East Indian descent and was dressed in a pair of black long pants, a t-shirt and gold and black sandals on her feet. She has short black hair and appeared to be in her 40s or 50s.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the nearest police station or Ste Madeleine Police Station at 653-1023.
