National Security Minister Stuart Young says he has no relations to the female suspect in the mult-million dollar Westmooring’s drug bust.
Police found the drugs as well as arms in a Westmoorings apartment.
Four persons are in now custody.
Among those arrested is the daughter of the former partner of Minister Young.
The operation was spearheaded by Commissioner Griffith and involved members of the Special Operations Response Team.
Reports say the officers acted on a tip off and raided the apartment at Regents Gardens around 12 o’clock in the afternoon.
Police say the suspects were caught packing what appeared to be bricks of cocaine into bags.
Mr. Griffith said they estimated the value of the find to be over ten million dollars.
Speaking with reporters at the scene yesterday, Commissioner Griffith said weapons were also found.
Minister Young has issued a statement saying that despite rumours to the contrary the young woman held is not a relative and he has no connection with her.
Minister Young said no one is above the law and anyone who breaks the law will face the consequences.
