The body of a man was found on a riverbed under a bridge at Fondes Amandes Road, St. Anns yesterday morning.

Police say the body was wrapped in plastic.

A passer-by found the body at around 11:30am.

Up to late last evening there was no positive identification of the body.

The man was of African descent, slim built and appeared to be in his twenties.

Police believe the man was killed elsewhere and his body dumped by the river.

And gunmen are said to have stormed the home of 33-year-old Karreem Braveboy Bailey and shot him dead.

The incident occurred on Granado Street, Barataria last Saturday morning at around 9:30.

Reports say his death came less than a week after a 12-year-old boy was shot and wounded at Granado Street in Barataria

Residents in the area say they heard the shots on Saturday and later found Mr. Bailey in a room of the house.

Mr. Bailey was already dead when he was found.
