Woman who pretended to be a police Inspector for months is now being questioned

Superintendent Roger Alexander

Police are now questioning a 46-year-old woman who reportedly pretended to be an Inspector for several months.

In the guise of an Inspector the woman was able to get sensitive information and was allowed access into secured buildings.

Police believe the woman may have also taken money from people with the promise of foregoing prosecution and securing certificates of good character.

On an episode of the Beyond The Tape program on TV6 in late August, Superintendent Roger Alexander described the woman as a career fraudster.

He said she fooled police officers at various stations and received all the protocols of an Inspector.

In The Express Newspaper today, it is reported the woman was held during an operation in Marabella last Sunday.

Officers of the Fraud Squad and the Southern Division are questioning her.
