Not for the first time, the woman in charge of the Trinidad and Tobago police service, Erla Harewood Christopher is reaching out to God for help in the fight against crime.
With the murder toll in double digits so far this year, yesterday, the police commissioner told a service at the cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Port of Spain, God will intervene.
The police commissioner got some words of advice from father David khan.
He feels, she needs help.
The commissioner is ready to collectively deal with the situation.
A total of 15 murders, have been committed in the country since the start of the New Year.
In the latest incident, Selwyn Pierre was gunned down in Aranguez
Newscentre five understands Mr. Pierre was robbed of his vehicle before being shot dead.
A 26-year-old loader employed with the National Carnival Commission, was gunned down at the Queen’s Park Savannah.
Police say, Akile Archer was killed at around 1:45pm yesterday.
He was discovered with a bullet wound to his head.
Meanwhile, at around 9:30 yesterday morning Afiba Moraldo is gunned down in Mt. Lambert.
Reports say, the murder took place near a shop.
One man was shot dead in Belmont on Saturday night.
The victim has been identified as Shakell George.
He was 25 years old.
