There has been some backlash with one small business operator in San Fernando defying the regulations of the Public Health Act, by opening her business.
On Monday, Jowelle De Souza slammed the decision of the government to leave the re-opening of small businesses for another phase.
Ms. De Souza said it is clear the government is not taking small businesses seriously.
The owner of a hair salon said small businesses have been the main engine of the country over the past years.
Ms. De Souza said many businesses of her scale cannot survive continued closure because of their many commitments.
She said she was considering legal action against state for its decisions.
