R.I.P. to a Carnival stalwart, Stefan Louis Monteil

5c8fe25c5bf38.imageYuma Vibe Mas Band closes its office temporarily following the sudden death of one of its founding members, Stefan Louis Monteil.

 

Mr. Monteil passed away early yesterday morning.

 

Mr. Monteil is said to have died while undergoing surgery at St. Clair Medical Hospital.

 

The bandleader was also the son of former chairman of CLICO Investment Bank, Andre Monteil.

 

Louis Monteil was in his mid forties, he was also the CEO of Flavorite Foods.

 

Via a statement the Yuma communications team extends condolences to the Monteil family.

 

Mr. Monteil was described as a lover of culture, innovation and a source of strength to many.

 

According to the release, funeral arrangements for the Carnival stalwart are being made at this time, and will be disseminated by the Monteil family.

 

The public is advised that Yuma camp will be closed for business until March 26th.
