The probe continues into the fatal police shooting of Elijah Issac in Laventille.

Mr. Issac was 18-years-old.

The incident occurred in the Rose Hill area at around 1am yesterday.

Reports say officers of the Inter-Agency Strike Force were patrolling the area when they saw a man acting suspiciously.

They say as they called out to him and he opened fire.

The officers say they responded with equal force hitting Mr. Issac several times.

He was rushed to hospital by the officers but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Officers say they recovered a point 45-Caliber pistol at the scene.
