Policing in Trinidad and Tobago is set to be improved by technology and the use of intelligence.
Minister of National Security Stuart Young says the new Firearm and Tool Mark Examination in the Police Service is long over due.
The training exercise will be for a period of 3 months.
At the launch of the exercise yesterday Minister Young outlined the benefits.
Also speaking at the function yesterday was Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith who said the delay in ballistics testing and staffing is unacceptable.
He said it is being addressed.
Also addressing the gathering was Deputy Commissioner of Police Macdonald Jacob who praised the Ministry for it initiative.
