The hunt is now on for suspects in connection with the shooting death of Renaldo Weates.

Mr. Weates, who lived in St. Joseph was gunned down at 6^th Avenue Barataria tuesday night.

Reports say at around 8 p.m. Tuesday he was in the company of woman when gunshots rang out.

Residents say they later discovered the two, lying in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds to their faces.

The Police and Emergency Health Service were then contacted.

However, it is said by the time they arrived 280-year-old Mr. Weates was dead.

The female was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where she remains warded in a serious condition.

Residents told investigators they saw a man dressed in dark clothing fleeing the scene.
