Police are now investigating several theories following the shooting death of 9-year-old Cyon Paul.

The boy was killed last Friday night.

Candles and flambeaux lined the streets of La Romaine over the weekend following the killing.

He was shot 4 times while on his way to purchase food with his 13-year-old cousin Kenika.

She escaped injury.

But the boy was hit twice in the chest and twice in the shoulders, casting doubt on the suggestion that he was hit by a stray bullet.

The child and his cousin were walking along the Southern Main Road when he was shot.

Police are now wondering if Cyon was in fact the target.

There is another theory that some men were playing with a gun when it went off.

Nevertheless Cyon’s relatives say they want the authorities to get those responsible for Cyon’s death.

Cyon was a student of the La Romaine RC School.
