Election candidate Renuka Sagramsingh Sooklal says she came face to face with a racist attack during a recent walk about in the St. Augustine constituency.

Mrs. Sagramsingh Sooklal is the Peoples National Movement’s selection to win the seat on August 10^th.

But last night Mrs. Sagramsingh Sooklal said her ethnicity and support for the PNM came under attack while campaigning.

The PNM hopeful said last night the incident emboldened her.

She vowed to do all in her power to bring the seat home to the PNM.

Mrs. Soogramsingh Sooklal was speaking at a meeting of her party, which was held at the Queens Hall.
