Some residents in St Thomas are facing severe after-effects of the heavy rains over the weekend.

Member of Parliament for St Thomas Western, James Robertson says several grave sites have been washed out, the safety of homes is threatened and several roadways that were recently repaired have been damaged.

Places affected include the Cedar Valley Division, Ramble and Trinityville.

Mr Robertson says residents from Serge Island leading into Cedar Valley are worst affected.
