The Barbados Ambassador to the United Nations, Liz Thompson, has tested positive for the Coronavirus.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness confirmed Ambassador Thompson’s status yesterday via a statement.

It said the diplomat, has no symptoms of the virus and is feeling “perfectly well”.

The statement said Ambassador Thompson returned to Barbados from New York on Monday.

According to the Ministry, Ms. Thompson arrived on a private jet and was tested at Paragon immediately.

The Ministry said it received information that her test was positive.

There was another person on the flight who was also tested.

The test result came back negative.
