A 2-year-old child has drowned at Williams Bay in Chaguaramas.

Full details of the incident are not yet known.

However it is reported that the incident occurred yesterday afternoon.

Police say they got the trouble call at around 5:30pm.

The child was with relatives when the tragedy occured.
