Two buildings which house members of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, had to be closed and sanitised after one officer tested positive for the coronavirus.
A woman police officer has tested positive for the virus on Monday.
The WPC is stationed at Riverside Plaza in Port of Spain.
President of the Police Social and Welfare Association, Inspector Gideon Dickson yesterday said the officer from the Riverside Plaza Operations went into quarantine last week.
Contact tracing is now to be done on scores of police officers following the positive result.
Members of staff on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Police Administration Building in Port of Spain were also sent home yesterday.
Inspector Dickson is pleased that all the right things are being done to treat with the situation.
Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith is urging members of the public to follow all protocols before entering police stations across the country.
