Pepper vendor Wayne Jarro Clarke has been shot and killed in Tunapuna.

Mr. Clarke was 55-years-old.

He was shot in the head while selling peppers along the roadside close to his Balthazar Street home.

Mr. Clarke was shot shortly before midday yesterday at the corner of Balthazar and Green streets.

People in the area say he usually sets up his stall at that location.

A motive for the killing is not yet known.

Mr. Clarke was also an employee of the Tunapuna Piarco Regional Corporation.
