The Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association confirms that a sewer problem at the Sangre Grande Secondary school has led to some students falling ill.
President of TTUTA Davinand Sinanan says a chemical used to treat the malfunctionin sewer system did not help the situation.
Yesterday school was dismissed again because of the problem.
President of the Parent Teachers Association Gordon Ottley said the stench from the sewer system sent four students to hospital.
But the TTUTA President said the problem is being addressed.
Teachers are said to have walked off the job yesterday.
