STUDENT SUFFERS PUNCTURED LUNG IN SCHOOL STABBING TTUTA EXPRESSES CONCERN…

The Marabella North Secondary School is the scene of a student-stabbing incident.

The Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association, is very concerned.

President Martin Lum Kin says, the first form male student was stabbed during an altercation with a classmate on Tuesday.

He says, the incident occurred during the lunch period in the full view of other pupils.

Mr. Lum Kin says, of the 6 disciplinary deans that should be at the school, only 2 were appointed, while the other 4 are acting.

He says, school violence is on the rise and the ministry of education must do better at all schools.

Police say, they have no suspect in custody and no weapon was found.
