An employee of the Water And Sewerage Authority is shot multiple times about his body.

Reports say the incident took place at around 6:15am this morning.

WASA confirms that there was an incident at its head office, on Farm Road St. Joseph where gunshots were fired at an employee, close to the entrance of the compound.

The employee, who was hit during the incident, was subsequently taken to the hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.

WASA’s preliminary investigations indicate the situation appears to be associated with issues outside of the workplace.

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is currently conducting investigations.
