Krystiana Sankar has secured bail.
She is one of the four persons charged in connection with the multi-million dollar drug bust in Westmoorings.
Last Monday Ms. Sankar along with her co accused appeared before a Port of Spain Magistrate.
Bail was set for Ms. Sankar and her co accused Yannis Pebbles Augustine at 6 million dollars each.
Her attorney Larry Williams had complained it was too high.
- m Sankar secured her bail at 3.50 p.m. yesterday and walked out of the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court in the company of her mother and her attorney.
Another co accused Jervon Cole was yesterday granted bail at 6.2 million dollars while Atiba Eligon was again denied bail because of his previous convictions on drug-related charges.
They are expected to re-appear in court on January 8th.
The four are charged with trafficking $3.8 million worth of cocaine and marijuana.
They were held by a team of officers lead by Police Commissioner Gary Griffith at an apartment at Regents Gardens, Westmoorings, on December 4.
