Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley tries to put to rest any chance of a boycott of Trinidad and Tobago products in Jamaica.
He met yesterday with several private sector organisations in Kingston.
Dr. Rowley told the groups CARICOM nationals should feel proud to see regional items on the shelves instead of products marked “made in China.
He renewed calls for a working CARICOM Single Market Economy, which would allow for free trade and movement.
Dr Rowley said for now steps must at least be taken to allow skilled labourers to move about more freely.
Dr. Rowley’s four day visit to Jamaica ends today.
