Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley

Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley is calling for an intervention to save the name of the Laventille community.

Dr. Rowley says there are too many negative aspects associated with the area.

Dr. Rowley says work must be done to rid the hot spot area of the bad light, which has been placed on it.

Speaking during the launch of the school improvement project at Success/Laventille Secondary on the weekend, Dr. Rowley hailed the 195.5fm’s Laventille Nights programme.

He said such initiatives would do well for Laventille and other communities marred by violence.

Education Minister, Anthony Garcia also spoke at the launch.
