An assurance from National Security Minister Fitzgerald Hinds that measures are in place at all police stations to ensure officers do not contract COVID-19 from members of the public.

Minister Hinds made the statement while responding to questions from Opposition Senator Wade Mark yesterday.

The inquiry follows the infection of 9 officers at the Valencia Police Station.

Senator Mark asked if police stations in the 9 divisions were in possession of other equipment to detect flu-like symptoms in the persons they serve.

Minister Hinds could not say.
