One man is killed during a robbery at a bar in Ste Madeline. Dead is Capildeo Harrylal.

The 50 year old was reportedly liming at a Khanai Bar in the area at around 8:20 last evening, when two men entered the establishment and announced a hold up.

Reports say the men then robbed patrons.

It is said Mr Harrylal tried to escape when one of the bandits opened fire on him, hitting him in the chest.

The suspects then escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash and other valuables.

Mr Harrylal was later rushed to the San Fernando general hospital where he died.
