A man is burnt to death after his vehicle crashed into a wall in Ochos Rios, St Ann. The victim is yet to be identified.

The tragedy occurred shortly after 2 o’ clock this morning. Residents of Coconut Grove told police they heard a crashing sound and upon checking they saw a car on fire.

Reports say one motorist stopped and rendered assistance with a fire extinguisher, but failed to put out the blaze.

The fire service was contacted and the blaze was extinguished. However, it is said when the smoke cleared the burnt remains of the man was discovered.

Fire officials say the victim was burned beyond recognition.
