The Bar Keepers and Operators Association says all systems have been put in place for the full resumption of service to the public today.
President Sateesh Moonesar responded to the government’s easing of restrictions on the sale of alcohol at bars and restaurants.
All businesses under the cover of safe zones will be allowed to sell alcohol to greater capacity patrons.
Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh made the announcement at the COVID press briefing on Saturday.
Earlier this month the government launched the safe zones, which allowed the reopening of restaurants, bars, gyms, water parks, cinemas and casino’s at 50% capacity.
One hundred percent capacity service delivery is expected from tomorrow for fully vaccinated customers only.
While the bars are ready Mr. Moonesar has some concerns.
Mr. Moonesar is also hoping all bar owners will be guided by the public health policies.
Bars across the country were forced to close as the government sought to limit gatherings and stop the spread of the coronavirus.
