Education Minister Anthony Garcia is assuring that schools which have been shut down because of infractural problems will be reopened soon.

Minister Garcia spoke with the media yesterday after official installation of the new board at the controversial Education Facilities Company Limited.

He said  the former board failed to address the problems facing schools and assured that action would now be taken to rectify the issues as soon as possible.

Minister Garcia also indicated that the Ministry and the new board will be working assidulously to effect repairs where needed in a timely manner.

The members of the new board are Chairman Mr. Arnold Piggot, Mr. Geoffery Francis, Mr. Christophe Brathwaite, Mr. Anthony Bisnath and Ms. Indu Sharma

The new EFCL board met with the Minister at his Port of Spain office yesterday.
