The death toll in the country now is 1,039.

And 7 more COVID-19 deaths have been recorded.

The Ministry of Health says the latest patients to have died include, 1 elderly male, 3 elderly females, 2 middle-aged males and 1 young adult male.

They all had comorbidities.

For this month alone there have been 192 deaths.

The Ministry says more than 80% of the patients who died of the virus this month had pre-existing conditions.

In Tobago there have been 35 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The number of new cases has been put at 189.
