A former Health Minister, under the Kamla Persad Bissessar administration is seeking to unseat her as leader of the Opposition United National Congress.

Yesterday was Nomination Day and from documents submitted, Mrs. Persad Bissessar will face Dr. Fuad Khan in a challenge for leadership.

Mrs. Persad Bissessar has a full slate of candidates for the various positions on June 26^th.

Former Minister and MP, Romona Ramdial has confirmed she and Dr. Khan are on the same slate.

She said yesterday its time to save the UNC.

Ms. Ramdial is contesting the post of Election Officer.

She is hoping for a free and fair process on the 26^th.

In a festive show of support for the Persad Bissessar slate, Anil Roberts challenged all to join the race.

Mr. Roberts is among others on the slate of the incumbent.
