The Community Based Environmental Protection and Enhancement Program (CEPEP) is said to be in millions of dollars in debt with an additional 32 million owing to contractors.
Members of the CEPEP board sat before a Joint Select Committee of the Parliament on state enterprises yesterday.
The JSC was to examine the company.
General Manager Keith Eddy told the JSC there are at least 14 matters before the High Court brought on by contractors.
JSC member Garvin Simonette questioned the legal fees of over 2 million dollars
Mr. Eddy also told of fishy contracts without signatures as such he said quantity surveyors had to be hired.
He said millions of dollars are also owed to contractors.
