Finalists of the Calypso Monarch competition receive their monies to the tune of 1.9 million dollars.
This was confirmed in the Lower House yesterday by Minister of Community Development, Culture and the Arts Dr. Nyan Gadsby Dolly.
The Minister was at the time outlining the monies paid to contestants.
When added up it came up to just under two million dollars.
The Minister also said that booths around the Queens Park Savannah were 97% occupied and drew in $113,100 in leases.
Minister Gadsby Dolly was speaking during the questions for oral answer in the Parliament yesterday.
