Police are seeking public assistance in identifying the body of the man found in Morvant.

The find was made at around 4 O’ clock this morning at Poinsettia Drive. Residents reported gunshots in the area and contacted the police.

Officers of the Port of Spain Task Force responded. It is said when they arrived at the scene, they found the man with several gunshot wounds about the body.

The man is said to be African descent and appears to be in his 30’s. Investigators also say he is sporting a dread-locked hair style.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact the nearest police station. Region 2 homicide officerS are continuing investigations.
