Bodies of a dance teacher and her husband found in burnt out pick up

Unknown-36Relatives are still in shock following the deaths of dance teacher Ardia Yearwood Marchan and her husband Peter Marchan.

 

Their bodies were found in a burnt out pick up in Fyzabad on Wednesday.

 

The vehicle was parked along Number 42 Road.

 

An anonymous call to the police told of a vehicle on fire.

 

Police responded and later found the burnt remains of the couple.

 

Investigators also visited the couple’s Robert Hill, Siparia home where they found traces of blood.

 

Police believe Mrs. Yearwood-Marchan was attacked at the house and taken away to the Oilfield Road in Fyzabad, where the burnt vehicle was found.

 

Mrs. Yearwood-­Marchan, taught dance at the La Romaine High School and was co-founder of the Amy School of Dance in Point Fortin, which put on a production two weeks ago.

 

Forty-nine-year-old Peter ­Marchan, was a mechanic attached to the San Fernando Fire Sub Headquarters at Mon Repos, San Fernando.

 

Police suspect murder suicide.

 

It is reported that Mrs. Yearwood-Marchan was staying at her mother’s home at Guapo Main Road, Fyzabad.

 

The couple was married for 12 years and had no children.

 

Relatives told police the two separated recently but were trying to reconcile.
