However the workers are blocking the gates to the facility.

Head of the industrial general and sanitation workers union Robert Benacia says workers have been promised outstanding monies five years ago but have not been paid.

Five police vehicles are now said to be on the scene

There are reports of a similar nature at the Forres Park and Guanapo Landfills.

Mr. Benacia is calling for talks with the Minister of Finance.

He is promising heightened action if workers are not paid and if working are not improved.
