An intervention from Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley, as there are attempts to safe the negotiations between the State and Patriotic Energies and Technologies Company Limited.
Patriotic is seeking to purchase State owned Petrotrin, but there appears to be trouble, after the Energy Minister Franklyn Khan last Saturday rejected 3 key proposals put forward by the company.
President General of Patriotic’s parent company the Oilfield Workers Trade Union, Ancel Roget was shocked and called for more talks.
Yesterday the Prime Minister said yes to a request from the OWTU to reconsider what was submitted.
An evaluation committee to re-examine the bid was formed by the Cabinet and must report by November 30th. This decision puts a halt to any move on the proposal of Patriotic.
