There is concern today from the Chief Executive Officer of the American Chamber of Commerce that the subsidies on utility bills are not good enough.

Nirad Tewarie says he is not satisfied with what has been put forward by the Finance Minister.

According to the AMCHAM executive, the assistance must allow for growth.

He says those targeted must not be left in poverty.

Mr. Tewarie says AMCHAM has been calling for the National Statistical Institute.

However he says the State has been dragging its feet.

He says there are several parts of the Budget to be examined.
