The government and the Opposition meet this morning to talk crime and the way forward.
minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Stuart Young says it will not be another talkshop and his government has no intention of politicising the issue.
The meeting was called for by Opposition Leader, Kamla Persad Bissessar.
Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley has accepted the suggestion and called on the opposition to submit its agenda for the talks.
Mr. Young said the Prime Minister had indicated even before he received an official letter from the Opposition Leader requesting the meeting, that he was open to talks.
The President of the Republic Anthony Carmona on Wednesday called on the two sides to put away the politics and find the solutions.
