Lawyers representing head of the Public Services Association Watson Duke want investigators to return the cell phone belonging to their client. Yesterday Mr. Duke made his second appearance in the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court.
He said his cellphone was seized by investigators and believes it can help in is defense. Mr. Duke is facing one count of rape and four charges of indecent assault. The charges arose out of a report made by a 33 year-old woman who claimed she was assaulted in a room at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Port of Spain on May 10th.
Mr. Duke is now on $250,000 bail. The embattled PSA leader was speaking with reporters outside the magistrate’s court in Port of Spain yesterday.
