Police have arrested and charged twomTobago men with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

The duo was held in the Parlatuvier area yesterday, with a total of 27.9 kilos of marijuana, with a street value of $2.5 million.

The men were arrested by police in Tobago around 1.30 a.m. on Monday while driving their vehicles in Parlatuvier.

Reports say officers, acting on information, searched the vehicles of both men where the illicit drugs were found. They were later charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

They were expected to appear in court today.
