A teenage boy is arrested for possession of arms and ammunition in Carenage.

Reports say officers patrolling along Rodney Street, had cause to stop and search the 14-year-old of Fitz Allyne Street, Point Cumana.

Officers say they discovered and seized one glock pistol, with twelve (12) rounds of .9mm ammunition.

Meanwhile a 23-year-old is detained in Diego Martin for possession of marijuana.

Police say he was arrested during an Anti Crime Exercise conducted between 3 and 10pm yesterday.

According to reports, officers were on patrol along Gokool Street, when they observed the man.

Police say a search revealed a transparent plastic packet containing 274 grams of marijuana.
