President of the Public Services Association, Watson Duke is expected to surrender to police investigation a sexual assault allegation against him. Newscenter 5 understands police are about to move in on the trade union leader, having investigated the claims of a 33-year-old woman.
The woman says he sexually assaulted at a hotel in Port of Spain on Tuesday this week. The attorney lodged a report with the police saying he forced himself on her in a room of the Hyatt hotel.
She said she went to the hotel for a meeting with the President of the Public Services Association. Mr. Duke has denied the accusation and is expected to talk with the police today.
Contacted by members of the media this morning, Mr. Duke said he will never do such a thing because it is not his nature. Police say they have been examining the report made by the alleged victim who has also been checked by a doctor.
