Watson Duke is being called a proxy for the opposition United National Congress in Tobago.
And the Prime Minister wants Tobagonians to avoid falling for the Minority Leader in the Tobago House of Assembly and his Peoples Democratic Patriots on August 10th.
Mr. Duke has repeatedly denied any links with the UNC.
Last night in Tobago, Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley sought to put that defense to rest.
Dr. Rowley said Mr. Duke has a private under the table relationship with the UNC and its Political Leader Kamla Persad Bissessar.
The Prime Minister took the UNC to task for not fielding candidates for the General Election in Tobago.
He claimed the UNC has found a partner who is trying to deceive the people of Tobago.
He hailed the government’s work in making Roxborough the 2nd town of Tobago and declared there is no way the UNC and its proxy could do likewise for Tobagonians.
