The Water and Sewerage Authority is calling for a speedy probe into the murder of its Senior Manager, North-West Operations, Derek Hooker.

Mr Hooker was shot dead outside his Diego Martin home last night. Newscentre 5 understands, Mr Hooker was taking groceries from the trunk of his vehicle when someone called out to him.

It is said as he turned around he was shit in the face. He was rushed to hospital, where he Died while undergoing emergency treatment.

WASA has extended condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Hooker.

Mr. Hooker, worked with the Authority for the past 32 years. His murder is being linked to his job.

WASA’s Corporate Communications Manager, Daniel Plenty is hoping Thise responsible for Mr. hooker’s killing would be brought to justice in the quickest possible time.

Investigations are continuing.
