Two men arrested with a glock 19 pistol and a magazine containing 9mm ammunition in central Trinidad.

The discovery was made during a police exercise between the hours of 5pm and 9pm last evening.

Officers say they received information of a planned robbery near Perserverance Extention Couva where a burgundy Toyota was parked.

Upon arrival officers searched the vehicle with two men sitting inside and found the firearm. Both men aged 26 and 31 were arrested and taken into custody.

PC Hosein is continuing investigations.
