A group of 18 supporters, relatives and pageant officials will leave this week for Sanya, China where this year’s Miss World competition is being held.
Trinidad and Tobago’s representative Ysabel Bisnath will have a large contingent in her corner when she takes the stage hoping to become the country’s second Miss World winner, 35 years after Giselle La Ronde West.
Last week Ysabel participated in the head to head challenge video-interview telling briefly about Trinidad and Tobago, and her educational background.
She told interviewer Frankie Cena her grandmother and mother always placed great emphasis on education and this would have pushed her towards academic achievements.
Ysabel is a national scholarship winner and during the interview her educational background was described as impressive.
The young lawyer has been tipped as a favorite to win the competition.
Earlier she was listed at number one among those favored to capture the prestigious title.
