A rate review at the Water And Sewerage Authority is coming.
Line Minister Marvin Gonzales yesterday said the people of Trinidad and Tobago pay very little for water so a review is needed.
Minister Gonzales told the parliament yesterday WASA is in serious debt.
According to the Minister, billions of dollars have been pumped into WASA over the years, with very little to show consumers.
Minister Gonzales said strategies have to be implemented to pay what is owed to contractors.
The Minister said the public has been demanding better service from WASA but it will cost.
Minister Gonsales said WASA is riddled with inefficiencies.
