Former Arcelor Mital workers are picketing outside the company’s headquarters calling for outstanding monies to be paid. The former workers are being led by the Steel Workers Union.
From as early as 5 am the angry group gathered at the facility demanding a meeting with management. President of the union Christopher Henry tells Newscenter 5 since the court ruled in favour of the dismissed employees, no one has spoken about compensation.
Mr. Henry said the workers have locked down the compound. He is calling on government or anyone in authority to intervene. Mr. Henry said the union would return to court later this morning.
