41 year old murder suspect, Troy Lane, is discovered hanging in a cell at the Tunapuna police station.

Mr Lane was detained on Friday night, in connection with the shooting death of Barataria resident, Rasheed Khan.

Hours after he was held, Mr Lane was found hanging on Saturday morning. Police say he was seen hanging from one of the bars of the cell, during a routine check of the station at around 5:30 P.M.

According to police, Mr Lane apparently used item of clothing to make a noose.

Investigators say, Mr Lane was told of Mr Khan’s death by his attorney.
