A Princess Town man is arrested and charged with attempted murder. Aaron Mitchell told the police that around 7.40am he and his girlfriend were walking along the Southern Main Road when her ex lover approached them with a cutlass.

Mr. Mitchell received chop wounds to left forearm and was rushed to hospital. Police say the suspect later walked into the Oropouche Police Station and admitted to almost killing Mitchell. The 27-year-old man was arrested and is expected to appear before a Siparia Magistrate Court today.
